Research Interests

A range of themes in information and knowledge management and corporate communication.

These have included financial and resource management for library and information services, social science information, professional and theoretical issues in library
and information services.

Current interests include information and knowledge auditing, information policy and development, enhancing information competences in applied domains, information strategy, information resources and systems, knowledge management in the transportation industries.

Current PhD students are active in themes related to small and medium enterprises in Bangladesh and ICT use,knowledge management in the UK planning system, e-health and palliative care in Scotland, strategic alliances in the airline industry and regional airport development, and in corporate communciation applications in Tanzania and in the Middle East region ( Emirates, Syria and Saudi Arabia)
